Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2


With LG giving Samsung a tough time by launching new additions to the competitive Optimus series, Samsung’s reply comes in the form of two new members to the Galaxy lineup – the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. Both the handsets are successors of the Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini handsets.

Basically, both of them are mid range handsets sporting decent specifications which would seem more appealing to the youth.



Key features of Galaxy Mini 2:

  • Qualcomm 800 MHz Processor with 512 MB RAM
  • Adreno 200 GPU
  • 4 GB Internal storage extensible to up to 32 GB
  • GPRS, EDGE, 3G and WiFi connectivity
  • Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP
  • 3.15 Megapixel camera with 2048 x 1536 pixels max resolution
  • microUSB v2.0
  • Android v2.3 Gingerbread
  

Key features of Galaxy Ace 2:

  • 3.8 inches TFT Capacitive touchscreen
  • Dual core 800 MHz processor with 768 MB RAM
  • 4 GB Internal storage extensible to up to 32 GB
  • GPRS, EDGE, 3G and WiFi connectivity
  • Bluetooth v3.0
  • 5 MP Primary camera with LED flash and max resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels
  • 720p HD video recording
  • VGA secondary camera
  • microUSB v2.0
  • Android v2.3 Gingerbread

Specifications wise, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 packs more power than the Galaxy Mini 2, with its dual core 800 MHz CPU and 768 MB RAM, while the Mini 2 is equipped with just 800 MHz CPU and 512 MB RAM. Both the handset shares the same Samsung TouchWiz UI. Bluetooth connectivity version is also same for the handsets. Galaxy Ace 2 sports a slightly bigger and better 3.8 inch screen while the Mini 2 comes with 3.27 inch screen. Memory specifications are same for both phones. Ace 2 has a 1500 mAh battery powering it while the Mini 2 gets the juice from a 1300 mAh battery.

The price details of Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2 will be officially released at the MWC reportedly.
